The Full Story
About my Internship
This summer I had the opportunity to intern with Adobe Inc. The CEO is Shantanu Narayen. Adobe is a computer software company. Charles Geschke and John Warnock founded the company over 40 years ago. This company was created in hopes of elevating the work through computer software. Adobe Headquarters is based in San Jose, California. They also have offices in New York City, Austin, Washington, and San Francisco.
Adobe has an internship program geared toward HBCU student-athletes called the student-athlete micro-internship (SAMI). I applied after seeing a friend and fellow ram, Dominique Graves, gain a full-time job from the internship the prior year. My former teammates also influenced my decision to apply after they said "It was the best internship they ever had". The internship was Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. I started May 28 and ended July 28. They paid $30 an hour and $45 for overtime. They also sent plenty of gifts to my home, a computer for the internship, and flew all the interns to San Jose Headquarters for a two-day seminar about Adobe.

My Position
I was a social media community manager intern. My daily tasks were to join meetings, answer Slack messages, and oversee the multiple social media platforms Adobe occupies. I would listen in on the team's weekly meetings every Wednesday. While being a part of my team, I was also a SAMI intern. I would have meetings about what Adobe was, and the many systems offered through Adobe during SAMI meetings.
